Spa 24h — a childhood dream on the biggest GT3 stage in the world. 🏁
70+ cars, factory drivers, pros everywhere and me right in the middle of it for my first ever 24-hour race.
We finished P5 in the Silver Cup with the Ford Mustang GT3 #65. And honestly: I’m proud of that. 💪🏼
The preparation was far from easy: very limited testing, only a few dry laps, no Tuesday test, car issues after the Monza crash, no qualifying and a start from the pit lane.
Not exactly the easiest conditions for my first 24h race at Spa.
But we fought back step by step, had strong pace and were leading the Silver Cup for a long time. On Sunday morning, we were even running inside the overall top 10 — from the back of the field.
A podium or even the class win was within reach.
Unfortunately, around 8 hours before the end, we got spun from another competitor, picked up a puncture and lost two laps before the car was back on track.
Just bitter.
In the end it was “only” P5 — still a strong result, but of course there is disappointment because so much more was possible.
For me personally, this weekend was a huge step. Driving one of the biggest GT3 races in the world, proving myself in such a strong field and learning so much — I’m very grateful for that. 🙏🏼
